Timber Frame Construction

As its name implies, timber frame construction is a method of building which relies on a timber frame as a basic means of structural support.

During construction, open panel timber frame is covered internally by plasterboard, filled with high performance insulation. Moisture/vapor barriers are incorporated and the outer leaf of the wall completes the structure. We provide as an exterior cladding an Outsulation System which acts as a protection for the vertical wall surfaces of the building.

Most importantly, this system provides a highly energy efficient insulated cladding. Literally, the Systems function as a vapor permeable blanket for the building.

The method we build provides a wall with  u-value of 0,23 W/m2, whereas the Cyprus building energy regulations requirement is to be under 0,85 W/m2.
